General Information

Southwest Adventure Guides offers a variety of courses and guided trips for rock climber's of all ability levels and experience. Whether a course with us will be your first time rock climbing, you are an aspiring traditional climber, or are looking to tackle a multi-ptich classic, we'll help you to build a solid foundation of skills you will be able to apply to your progression as a safe and competent rock climber. Seasoned climber's may want to check out our Rock Rescue Course, essential skills that any climber should learn.

We offer climbing courses and instruction in Durango at the X-Rock and East Animas crags, and in the Utah desert at Indian Creek. We also offer guided ascents of multi-ptich classics in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Equipment: Southwest Adventure Guides provides all equipment required for our courses with the exception of rock climbing shoes. Please consider bringing rain gear and warm clothing. Sun glasses, sun screen and a sun hat are recomended. If you have your own harness and climbing shoes please bring them. If you do not, climbing shoes are availible for rent.

Registration and Cancellation: You will need to fill out our Domestic Registration Form, cancellation policy agreement, and liability waiver, and send it to us with a 50% deposit as early as possible prior to the trip date.
