    General Information

Climbing and Travelling in Bolivia: While these mountains are as high as any peaks in North America, their accessibility from the nearby city of La Paz makes ascents possible in a short period of time. The climbs are technically challenging and interesting for the moderately experienced mountaineer looking for a high altitude challenge. Our expeditions have the most favorable client-to-guide ratio in the industry, because we feel this increases our chances for success on each peak, and makes for a better overall experience. Our guides are highly experienced at organizing and running our trips in South America, and we utilize unparalleled local logistics to ensure that our trips run flawlessly.

Bolivia is a small and undeveloped South American country. To visit you will need a current passport and we get a tourist visa on entry. While there are no required vaccinations we strongly recommend getting a tetanus booster if you haven't had one in the last ten years, and Hepatitis A vaccine or Imuno Globulin injection. It is a good idea to contact your county health department, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or your family doctor to get the most current information. While it is not required, it is a good idea to get a physical and dental check up before going to Bolivia to climb at high altitude.
